Sharing Things Safely
Let the right people see the right things — without ever giving up your privacy.
What sharing means in Fyldit
Sometimes you need to give a document to someone — your tax forms to your accountant, your travel insurance to a family member, a will to your lawyer. With Fyldit, you can do this in a way that's safer than email, simpler than printing, and private from start to finish.
Think of it like handing them a locked box that only they have the key for. You stay in control, and only the people you choose can open it.
What you can share
- A single document (like a PDF or photo)
- A whole folder of related items
- A "pack" — a curated bundle you put together
- A secure note
How to share, step by step
Pick what you want to share
Choose who gets it
Send it
Always end-to-end private
When you share something, Fyldit reseals it just for that person. Nobody else — including us — can read it. If you stop sharing later, they immediately lose access.
Receiving something shared with you
When someone shares a document with you, you'll see it in your “Shared with me” section. You'll need to be signed in and have your Master Key handy — that's how we know it's really you.
Once opened, you can view it, save a copy to your own vault, or simply leave it there. The owner decides how long you have access.
Staying in control
- See all your active shares in one place
- Stop sharing anytime — they lose access right away
- Edit who's included, or add more people
- Know exactly what they can and can't do
And what they can't do, ever:
- See anything else in your vault
- Pass it on to someone else through Fyldit
- Edit your original copy
