Your Trusted Circle

The handful of people you trust most — there for you, and there for the people who love you.

Who's in your Trusted Circle?

It's the small group of people you trust to look out for your Fyldit vault. Think of them as the friends with the spare key — except no one carries a key alone, and no one can use it without the others.

They quietly do two things for you. One: if you ever forget your Master Key or lose your device, they help you back in. Two: when the time comes, they're the ones who let Fyldit know — so your Legacy Circle can finally receive what you set aside for them.

How it works, in 4 simple steps

1

Pick a few people you trust

Your spouse, your parents, a sibling, a lifelong friend, your attorney. Anyone steady, reachable, and not going anywhere. You only need a small group — three to five is the sweet spot.
2

Invite them

Add them by email. They'll be asked to create a free Fyldit account and accept. That's their quiet promise to be there if you ever need them.
3

They stand by — nothing more

While you're fine, they don't see your vault, your documents, or your beneficiaries. They just know they're in your Trusted Circle. No work for them, no peeking.
4

If you need them, or when the moment comes

Lost your Master Key? Switch on Trusted Circle Key and they can help you back in. When the time comes — together, never alone — they confirm it to Fyldit, and the right documents go to the right people. No probate scramble, no missing folders.

Why a Trusted Circle, not just one person?

It's safer for you. No single person can act alone. It takes a few of them agreeing — so a misplaced phone, a heated argument, or someone's mistake can never put you at risk.

It's gentler on them. The responsibility is shared. No one person has to carry the weight of your digital life on their shoulders. They look after you together.

What your Trusted Circle CAN do

  • Help you back in if you ever lose access
  • Speak up — together — when the time comes
  • Be a quiet promise you don't have to think about

What they CAN'T do

  • Open your vault while you're alive
  • See your documents or your beneficiaries
  • Act on their own, without the others
  • Trigger anything without your wishes

Who makes a great Trusted Circle?

Pick people who are reachable, level-headed, and likely to be around for the long run. A few common choices:

• Spouse or life partner
• Parents, adult children or siblings
• A lifelong friend
• Your attorney or financial advisor
• A business partner you fully trust
• A trusted family doctor or clergy member

A small tip: spread your circle a little — different cities, different parts of your life. That way, they can always show up for you even if life gets messy.

Common questions

Will my Trusted Circle see my documents?
No. While you're alive and well, they can't read anything in your vault. They simply know they're one of your trusted few. Your privacy stays your privacy.
Can a single member act on their own?
Never. Nothing happens unless several of them agree. This is the whole point of a circle — no single person, no matter how trusted, can let anyone in or speak for you alone.
What if one of them isn't available?
That's exactly why your circle has more than one person. If someone's travelling, ill, or just unreachable, the rest can still be there for you.
Can I change the people in my Trusted Circle?
Anytime. Life changes — relationships shift, friends move, life happens. Add, remove and update your circle whenever you like.
Is this the same as my Legacy Circle?
Not quite. Your Legacy Circle is the people who inherit specific documents from you. Your Trusted Circle is the people who help your wishes come true — the helpers, not the recipients.
