A spare key for your vault, kept safe by the people you trust. No one can use it alone — and we can never get in without you.
How it works, in plain English
When you switch this on, your Trusted Circle becomes more than a quiet promise — they hold a spare key for you. If you ever forget your Master Key or lose your device, your circle can quietly help you back in.
No one in your circle can act alone. It takes a few of them coming together. And while you're fine, they don't see your vault, your documents, or anything else.
What we'll ask you for
At least four Keyholders
(With four Keyholders) a personal Backup Code
Nothing else
If you're ever locked out
You ask your circle for help. We let your Keyholders know one by one. We wait a little while — a full day — and tell you everywhere, so only you can really come back in. If something doesn't look right, you can stop the request from your phone with one tap.
About your plan
Trusted Circle Key is part of every trial and paid plan. If you move to a free plan, we switch it off and delete it right away — for your safety and ours. We'll tell you, and we'll tell everyone in your circle, in plain words. They don't need to do anything; they're still in your Trusted Circle for everything else.
When you're back on a trial or paid plan, you can set it up again in a couple of taps.
